This opportunity is to work on our high-performance columnar database engine at the core of our Analytics products.The OpenText Analytics Magellan Platform product development team is seeking a talented Lead Software Engineer to join the team. You will utilize knowledge and experience to perform design, systems analysis, research, maintenance, troubleshooting and other programming activities. You will also play a key role in the development of work teams by providing others with direction and leadership.The position is remote, working within a team mainly located in Barcelona area.You are great at:

  • Leading, driving, implementing highly scalable and complex solutions
  • Understanding and learning unfamiliar technologies and frameworks, concepts and design patterns and integrating them quickly while working in a fast paced, team-driven agile development environment
  • Utilizing analytical skills to developing new features, as well as, enhancing existing features and troubleshooting problems.
  • Leading software design/code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to company standards
  • Taking ownership of features and code bases, handling multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Suggesting enhancements and providing input on products and features developed by the team.
  • Providing status updates to stakeholders and escalating issues when necessary.
What it takes:
  • Bachelor?s degree in computer science or related field with 5+ years of enterprise product development experience
  • Should be strong at Java programming language.
  • Should be strong at Java Script and Angular
  • Should be strong at Object Oriented design and SOLID principles.
  • Should be strong at Algorithms and Data Structures
  • Good to have knowledge on Spring and Spring boot.
  • Good knowledge on Cloud technologies like Docker, Kubernetes etc.
