Job Description

You were made for this.As a Senior Manager of Software Engineering in Securities Services Technology, you serve in a leadership role by providing technical coaching and advisory for multiple technical teams, as well as anticipate the needs and potential dependencies of other functions within the firm. As an expert in your field, your insights influence budget and technical considerations to advance operational efficiencies and functionalities.Job responsibilities

  • Lead the modernization efforts including cloud migration with a focus on building modern apps leveraging latest technology stack.
  • Manage business functional deliveries by collaborating with Ops and services partners.
  • Effectively leading a team and creating growth opportunities for the team, creating learning opportunities.
  • Help renovate the Ops exceptions platform, making it flexible to incorporate new business needed functions.
  • Develop good understanding of internal partner systems aiding to efficient integration for enabling straight through processing.
  • Provide overall direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of entry-level to mid-level software engineers that work on basic to moderately complex tasks.
  • Creates a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect for team members and prioritizes diverse representation.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Proficiency in one or more general purpose programming languages JAVA, Spring, Node.js
  • Experience with key concepts of RESTful APIs architecture and development
  • Experience in leading agile engineering team
  • Advanced knowledge of architecture and design of scalable, cloud based solutions like AWS/Azure
  • Proven track-record of design and technical accomplishments
  • Strong problem solving and communication skill. Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent
  • Formal training, or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience in web application development using frontend technologies like React or Angular
  • Ability to create a vision and actionable roadmap with a focus on ongoing innovation
  • Ability to effectively maximize delivery of business goals and returns on investment
