Job Description

DescriptionPurpose of the role:The IT&D Managers ? Manufacturing Resilience play a key role on the definition and control of the support model within the product group. They develop a deep understanding of the service components of the product group and how it can be used to deliver value to the business. They support the Strat & Op Lead in monitoring the service level, they coordinate product owners in their roles when it comes to support and they apply the continuous improvement techniques to identify opportunities to improve service levels as well as optimize costs. They ultimately play a pivot role to consolidate and improve Total cost of ownership of the solutions in scope of the Product Group.Accountabilities:The IT&D Managers ? Manufacturing Resilience collaborate to the design of the extended support model into the OT space. They manage and oversee the support delivered by the third parties vendors across IT and OT, they collaborate with each product owner when support elements come into play. Starting from service costs they drive the collection and consolidation of the total cost of ownership within the product group.Key Outputs:

  • Join service review and design meetings to discuss IT service operations as well as promote decisions on strategies effective for improved performance.
  • Together with product owners, assess customer needs and requirements to proffer IT solutions essential in meeting their specifications.
  • Conduct IT risk analysis to identify current risk level and develop an action plan for minimizing risk to an acceptable level.
  • Regulate expenditures, analyse variances and conduct forecasts to identify requirements in preparing budgets.
  • Support Product Owners to successfully manage internal and external audits.
  • Offer recommendations to company management on appropriate IT strategies and best practices to implement in order to surmount challenges and achieve set objectives.
  • Maintain a list of pending problems and root cause analysis (generated out of major incidents or significant changes) and make recommendations on choice of components for purchase.
  • Perform IT administration and management duties as part of their plans for enhancing IT services.
