No matter what your position, you will have a vital role in safely feeding the world and taking care of our planet.ROLE PURPOSE:Manage overall import operations of Syngenta CP and Seeds in compliance with Syngenta guidelines and local tariff and customs regulations.ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Proactively monitoring goods readiness date at source country against the purchase order.
• Timely coordination with Hub order processors for proforma invoices, Bill of lading.
• Review of draft shipping documents prior to the issuance of original documents.

• Ensuring shipping documents are compliant with Customs and Department of Plant Protection for both CP & Seeds.
• Implementation of Checklist for all shipping documents of CP and Seeds Consignments.
• Coordination with source country for the pre-shipment inspection activity and availability of pre-shipment inspection and lab reports.
• Coordination with source country for labelling manners as per the guidelines of truthful labelling.
• Strong follow-up on shipping schedules.
• Coordination with CHB (Customs house brokers) for determining duties and taxes as per the tariff.
• Processing of financial instruments of duties and taxes
• Follow up with finance for timely availability of financial instruments and release of shipping documents from the bank.
• Oversees preparation of shipping documents and other paperwork and documentation necessary to comply with tariffs and customs regulations.
• Timely coordination with finance for the availability of bank contract/ LC.
• Close coordination with MAERSK (4PL) & Clearing Agents with regards to Custom Clearance of consignments by closely monitoring Customs process and minimize the port demurrages by timely clearance of shipments.
• Coordinating with 4PL approved LSP (Logistics Services provider) for consignment collection and delivery to FF&P plant/ tollers.

• Ensure that the clearing process are strictly compliant with Customs, Department of Plant Protection, and Syngenta policies.

• Active Participation in ROP/ Pre SOP
• Preparation of consignment status dashboard- Monthly basis
• Timely escalation of critical issues for resolution.
