You?ll help us improve, inject innovation and build new ways of working that span the whole world.Purpose-Provide support to market in promoting a favorable business environment with focus on taxation and illicit trade prevention.-Monitor, analyze, forecast and internally communicate information on business environment, through research and interaction with government agencies, policy makers, regulators, business associations, representatives from the media and opinion leaders, among others, to help the business accommodate and optimize strategies accordingly; and to internally promote a better understanding of external variables that may have an impact on the business, in order to anticipate opportunities and challenges.-Promote a better understanding of PMI, PMI stance and core values; promoting a favorable business environment, pursuing stability and predictability in business environment.Major Accountabilities-Assist in Developing and Executing Fiscal Strategy, a proactive strategy to cope with a fiscal and regulatory environment which is becoming more complex and evolving rapidly.-Represent PMM in Free Trade Negotiations in Mexico (i.e.: FTA Central America - Mexico, FTA Peru - Mexico, FTA Mexico - Brasil, etc.), engaging Ministry of Economy, Business Chambers, among others, to promote favorable, flexible commercialization conditions to PMM products and raw materials; to bring flexibility to PMM operations.-Timely support to other areas of the market and to the Regional Offices, bringing knowledge on fiscal policies, current taxation system and international trade, among others, developing scenarios, building econometric models to estimate business impact and working on counter-proposals.-Assist in crafting and evaluating, medium and long term strategies to address illicit trade of tobacco products in the market. Approach authorities to promote enforcement against contraband/counterfeit of tobacco products. Support efforts in engaging key stakeholders against illicit trade.-Support to Communication area of CA to promote a better understanding of PMM business, PMM stance and core values; to foster constructive relationships with key stakeholders; and to promote space for dialogue in the development of tobacco comprehensive regulations, pursuing a more favorable, stable and predictable business environment. Support from authorities is also pursued in implementing existing legislation, particularly against contraband/counterfeit of tobacco products.-Monitor/Analyze/Forecast business environment, to anticipate opportunities and challenges/threats to PMM business. Monitor initiatives/activities from third parties, Congress, competitors, WHO, Local NGOs and Business Chambers, among others.-Provide support to GM and functional areas, in particular Finance, Legal, Marketing, Brand Integrity, Sales and Operations, in achieving business objectives; in their relationship with external audiences; and in the promotion of spaces for dialogue in the development of tobacco comprehensive tax regulations for each of the areas.-Assist in handling the budget of CA area in order to optimize the resources set in accordance with the activities of the different department of the area.Who we?re looking forEducation-BBA, BSC, MBA, Accounting / Specialist in Tax and International Trade MattersWork experience-Minimum 2 - 5 years of experience in research & critical analysis, and matters related to tax and legalKnowledge and skills-Should be proficient in data analysis & presentation skills, along with stakeholder engagement and developing communications-Experience in working on projects / project management would be a plusWhat we offerOur success depends on our talented employees who come to work here every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
