Position Equipment TrainerLocation Reko Diq Mine Site ? BalochistanQualification

  • Certificate in Training & Assessment (or equivalent).
  • Current LTV class Driver?s License.
  • Certificate in Work Health and Safety (desirable).
Experience
  • 2+ years? experience within a training role, preferably in the mining industry.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in proficient operation of various mobile equipment (Excavators, Loaders, Dump Trucks etc.)
  • Valid 3rd party qualifications for various heavy construction / mining equipment.
  • Competent in operating various equipment with (i.e. haul truck, loader and ancillary etc,)
  • Experience in the Mining/Heavy Engineering industries would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge, understanding and awareness of:
    • The Vocational Education and Training Framework of in-country.ÿ
    • Mining Safety and Health Act and regulations.
    • Industry standards within the domain of training.
    • Strong and well-developed communications skills and to converse at Supervisor level with ease.
  • Self-direct their learning.
  • Exhibit strong organization and planning skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
Responsibilities
  • Actively advocate and motivate others to demand high standards of safety performance.
  • Conduct training and assessments including but not limited to site specific Training courses; Safety Awareness programs; VOCs; and Inductions.
  • Develop, monitor, and maintain proficiency for operation of equipment to a high standard.
  • Identify any out of date, inaccurate or unsuitable content in site training materials and bring to the attention of the Training Lead.
  • Identify risks and hazards within work area and notify supervisor.
  • Stop any unsafe act or condition is observed and empower others to do the same.
  • Execute training and assessments in accordance with RDMC Training Standards and as outlined in the learning and assessment strategy of the Employee Development Program, ensuring that all training and assessment is current and meets Barrick and legislative requirements.ÿ
  • Assist the Training Lead with training package development/ review.
  • Provide trainees with feedback and updates on their progress as per the mutually agreed training plan.
  • Report to stakeholders on training progress of personnel engaged in the development program.
  • Undertake field observations for performance of personnel operating procedures (technique, equipment abuse, work area set up etc.).ÿ
  • Ensure all training paperwork and records entered correctly.
  • Collate and report on trainees? progress for monthly reporting.ÿ
  • Assist site-based Safety personnel with incident investigations (from a Training perspective) if required.
  • Assist Site Supervisory Teams to develop, monitor and maintain Site Crew Trainer and Operator proficiencies.
  • Ensure compliance with the RDMC Management System procedures.
  • Liaise with all site training stakeholders including site management team, external training providers and Barrick L&D team.
