Job Description

Overview This position is responsible for completely understanding, rolling out and ensuring compliance with all global, PGCS, regulatory as well as plant specific policies, procedures, systems and programs, essentially covering Occupational Health, Engineering and Maintenance, Safety, Environment, Sustainability, Waste Management & Projects. Responsibilities Leading the plant as a team member for Plant on true efficiency, mean time between failure (MTBF), high meantime to repair (MTTR), work order maintenance, technical store stock cover, unplanned stopages, CAPEX implementation 100% etc. Designing & Implementation of Maintenance system ? unplanned breakdown to be less than 1%. Preparing Capacity / productivity initiatives plan & execution ? Completion on time with expected quality and with in the approved cost. Preparing AOP for the MOH and R & M cost and controlling through regular monitoring Seamless execution of any new project / expansion within the cost and timeframe. Review of Daily, weekly & Monthly score card and taking corrective steps on Engineering issues. Leading the Productivity through cross functional team. Providing active engineering supports to other functions Upgrading own knowledge to be more productive & cost effective ? sharing it with other team members. Fully endorse and adapt PGCS mandates and strategies. Ensuring safety of people, plant & machinery ? through safe practices and regular audit Implement and Sustain OSHAS 45001, ISO 14001 requirements and aligning the plant team. Approvals from Statutory bodies ?Weight & measure,EIA, IEE etc as per the acts Implementing Best practices basis learning from other plants. Management Representative for ISO 9001 and EHS systems in plant. Responsible for all regulatory compliances related to Plant & Machinery Support plant crisis management team. Implement PepsiCo maintenance excellence methodology (PeMM), PGCS global maintenance strategy, designing Plant asset maintenance system and ensuring its implementation to ensure equipment availability for Capacity expansion / Productivity improvement designing and execution as per AOP timelines & site?s Capacity assessment in line to Site Master Plan Ensuring Compliance to all Internal & External audits related to operational practices & Legal requirements. Responsible for new Engineering project planning,execution & sustainment at plant. Developing teams for building benches through trainings & upgrading technology. All capital investments & installation complies to PGCS engineering group standards EHS Ensure that all local as well as corporate, applicable environmental, safety and conservation standards are fully complied with at all times. Team leader for all regulatory compliances. Ensure that all operations carried out at the plant are safe and environment friendly in every respect and support departments through expert advice, staff training, coordination with corporate and PGCS and local knowledge leverage. Comply with all the required reporting & documentation protocols in EHS, EMS, and Resource Conservation requirements rolled out by PGCS Work with all departments of the plant to develop, implement, track and monitor the various KPIs as well as measurement standards to ensure that all the compliance requirements are fully met with. Maintain effective collaboration with other organizations, local offices as well as within PepsiCo to be able to obtain support as and when needed. Fully comply with solid, liquid and air effluent management standards as per local regulatory and PepsiCo limits. Reduce site?s risk ratings year on through trainings, infrastructure improvements & best practices implementation Ensuring site?s risk ratings are reduced Year on Year. People Developing benches for all the key positions thus ensuring team?s Capability Build up & business continuity. Maintaining an environment in plant that improves ?Organization Health Survey? Ensuring the work life balance through proper planning & leaves to people as per plan. Establishing management practices throughout assigned areas which include all Employees? positive involvement. Coaching, motivating and developing team members to build a high performing Engineering team by providing guidance on technical college & platform for Multi-skilling thus meeting business objectives. Identifying the training needs of DR?s and planning for their career development. Regular Training of people on their jobs thus ensuring up to date skills with latest engineering concepts. People Developing benches for all the key positions thus ensuring team?s Capability Build up & business continuity. Maintaining an environment in plant that improves ?Organization Health Survey? Ensuring the work life balance through proper planning & leaves to people as per plan. Establishing management practices throughout assigned areas which include all Employees? positive involvement. Timely reviewing the performance of subordinates & providing them with constructive feedback Assure that Grievances are addressed in a timely fashion. Initiate hiring when needed to cope with expanding workload or for replacement of leaving employees. Conduct training or authorize training of production employees on new agendas. Establish SMART Targets & conduct formal performance reviews per company policy as per PMP guidelines. Track competencies of subordinates and provide leadership and development as required to achieve the objectives Initiate disciplinary measures according to company policy when needed. Continuous improvement culture to be nurtured in function Qualifications Graduation/ post graduation in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering Experience in Maintenance & Projects of around 7 ? 10 yr and independently handling the engineering function of a medium scale company for 3-5 years RCA (root casuse analysis), and FMEA (Failure mode and effect analysis) expertise Understanding of Food/ manufacturing setup Ability to create and manage budgets Hands on experience on ERPs like SAP, SAP PM or Oracle. Knowledge on QMSs like ; HACCP,AIB,ISO- 14001,9001-2000,45001
