E-Learning Developer, AcademicComputingEntity: AgaKhan UniversityLocation: KarachiIntroduction to the Aga Khan University: The Aga Khan University is a private,international university committed to international standards of excellence inteaching, research and service. Its teaching hospital, the Aga Khan UniversityHospital has been accredited by the prestigious Joint Commission Internationalfor achieving the highest international healthcare standards.Job Role / Responsibilities:Reporting to Manager, AcademicComputing you would be responsible to work with the faculty and the coursedesigners for the development of Blended and Digital Learning course sites andproviding technical support and training for the delivery of the courses.Specifically, you will beresponsible to;

  • course development using tools such as ArticulateStoryline on Moodle or other such platforms
  • assist faculty to develop text, images and graphics intoappropriate digital format
  • assist faculty to develop basic audio and videocomponents of the courses
  • identify appropriate technical solution for on-campus,blended and online contexts and provide trainings
  • train students and faculty on using eLearningtechnologies available at AKU (e.g. Video conference system, interactive whiteboard, WebEx, Moodle etc.)
  • coordinate with the members of the lT team for blendedand digital learning activities and with members of the Blended and DigitalLearning Network
  • to be an interface between lT and Blended and DigitalLearning Network teams to bridge the gaps, thus making the over-all system moreproductive
  • seek students feedback on the e-learning content andits features, so that the progress of the over-all system can be tracked
  • any other task assigned by the supervisor.
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:
    • formal Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science,Education or equivalent
    • minimum 2 years? experience of working on course sitedevelopment, teaching or related fields of education
    • experience of working on related technology
    • web development and multimedia development skills
    • excellent interpersonal skills
    • well organized and follow through and track bothindividual and project tasks
    • detail-oriented and strong commitment to qualitycontrol
    • adaptable, handle varying workloads, creative
    • be able to communicate fluently in English and workwith a multi-cultural team
    • teaching skills are a plus.
