You?ll be solving supply chain problems that span the whole world: a smoke-free world.Your ?day to day?-Participate actively in the preparation of the annual, health and safety plan and budget based on technical, organizational and regulatory evolution of the factory. Assist management and supervisors to operate according to the PM EHS policies and procedures and continuously seek to raise the awareness of management, supervisors and employees concerning EHS.-Assist in development, implementation and coordination of programs that reduce risks, prevent incidents, and improve employee awareness of health and safety issues. Supervise recording of all incident/accident information in a way that will enable the EHS department and management to identify basic causes and take actions to prevent the incident happening again.-Act as a member of the Emergency Management response team and assist in development, implementation and testing of the Emergency Management Plan.-Assist in factory EHS Audits according to requirements of Philip Morris (Pakistan), EHS directives and schedules. Assist department heads to implement results of Audits.-Identify requirements for personal protective equipment through needs analysis. Participate in the design and specification of new equipment and assist department heads and project engineers to ensure that existing and new equipment meets the requirements of the local and PMI standards of environment, health and safety. Monitor the technical certification of all new equipment brought into the factory.-Assist in planning and organization of in-house inspections for EHS issues on a random and planned basis. Discuss and agree conclusions of such inspections with supervisors and management and help with implementation of the recommendations. Handle relationships with local permitting and inspection agencies. Ensure that required reports and follow-up actions are provided in a timely and accurate manner.-Assist with training of employees to ensure that they fully understand the safety aspects of their job and the responsibilities. Supervise the preparation, revision and introduction of EHS modules into existing and new training courses. Be aware of new and changing legislation to ensure that the EHS department is fully conversant with the existing legislation, PM requirements and current trends.-Implement all objectives of health, safety, fire prevention, hygiene, environmental protection, site and property security ensuring that appropriate resources and structures are in place to cope with the objectives.-Implement the EHS program based on company EHS policy and continuously search for improvements to protect people from injury, the environment from damage, and the business from unnecessary losses. Involve factory employees to ensure that procedures are accepted, the responsibilities are understood, and the program is supported.-Implement procedures to ensure that the factory follows applicable laws, codes and regulations. Satisfy local and regional reporting requirements, provide permit information when needed, and take appropriate actions to correct deficiencies when required.-Follow up a proactive loss prevention program including risk management (identification, assessment, and control), inspections, audits, and emergency planning to eliminate or minimize losses due to foreseeable hazards.-Inform factory managers and employees of the causes of accidents within the factory and within the region. Prepare, coordinate and update risk assessment and crisis management procedures for top management to prevent and minimise damage due to natural / industrial disaster or any unexpected emergency event which could cause business break-down.-Maintain a fire prevention program of building design, fuel and ignition source control, detection and alarm systems, technical firefighting systems, and emergency response teams in order to eliminate or minimize losses due to fire.Sponsor EHS improvement projects and give technical advice on non EHS projects. Ensure that appropriate amounts for EHS program and project needs are included in the factory expense and operating budgets.-Planning, participation and execution of all new initiatives/programs as per PMI policies and global plans.Who we?re looking for-Minimum bachelors degree-Strong EHS knowledge (technical & inspirational)-2 years experience in industrial environment-Nebosh/IOSH, ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001: 2015 certifications are good to haveWhat we offerOur success depends on our talented employees who come to work here every single day with a sense of purpose and an appetite for progress.
