Auto req ID: 277896BR PRINCIPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES To develop the strategic EHS agenda to exceed the Business EHS KPI?s & ensuring an incident free workplace having strong EHS cultural foundation. To provide leadership and planning for the safety Integrated Business Plan, Annual Operating Plan and key risk mitigation initiatives. Implementation of the PepsiCo?s Global Health & Safety Management Standards (GEHSMS) as per Sector guidelines Work closely with the sector teams on implementing the sector?s agenda on Machine safety, Compliance/ governess & EHS Cultural transformation. Establish ISO 18001/ISO 14001/ISO 45001 certification as part of multi-site certification process by fulfilling all the requirements, guidance and support to other functions Conduct Self-Audit against diagnostics of EHS, Technical, Environmental and Management standards, develops action plans, monitor & report progress to management. Ensure through audits & inspections that all major risks at Multan plant have identified and evaluated all existing and potential threats arising as a result of routine / non-routine activities & ensure actions plans in place to mitigate the risks and improve performance Implementation of MyEHS modules as per the sector requirements. Achieve Environmental compliance against PEQS & PI standards as per updated Environmental compliance requirement. To ensure sustaining of line walk &, near miss reporting & strategic actions planning implementation to sustain an injury free workplace. To ensure site meets target of LTIR, RIR along with all other leading and lagging KPI?s Accountable to ensure that all safety training including refresher courses are executed for the required population as per TNA. Ensure compliance of all applicable Occupational Health and Safety procedures and statutory regulations Ensure safe operations of WWTP complying with all PEP /EPA requirements. Ensure site meets a rigorous Environmental compliance agenda and meeting all regulatory requirements. Manage development and facilitate execution of recommendations of FM global to achieve HPR status Follow through with Multan leadership to ensure all company employees and contractors fully understand the procedures they must follow to safeguard the environment, health & safety during their working activities. Maintaining good working relationships with Local and Government regulatory bodies like Environmental Protection Agency and Factories Inspectors, Ministry of Environment, Health laboratories to keep abreast of industry related laws, regulations and changing requirements. Ensure putting strong focus on the team?s professional career development by identifying the right professional needs & ensuring compliance of action plan. Advocate strongly PepsiCo?s ways of working and implement these in the day to day operations of EHS team Qualifications/Requirements Key Skills/Experience Required Qualification: Engineering degree (Preferably Mechanical / Chemical / Electrical) or master?s in environmental sciences Sound knowledge of EHS policies and procedures & be sensitive to the National environment and health & safety laws and legal issues.Certifications NEBOSH IGC (Mandatory) Lead Auditor OHSAS 18001/ISO 14001/ISO45001 Incident Investigation & Root Cause Analysis Associate Safety Professional (ASP) / Certified Safety professional (CSP) or equivalent Professional Safety Body Membership (IOSH or ASSE) would be a plus.Competencies: Strategic planning Influencing at all levels ? both internal and external Excellent written and verbal communication & analytical skills Ability to relate to and develop rapport with a diverse range of people Ability to analyze problems and recommend practical strategies Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised Ability to initiate activities and set priorities Ability to understand how issues impact on other areas of the businessKnowledge: Relevant qualifications in OH&S Working knowledge of Acts, Regulations and Codes of practice in relation to occupational health & safety, as well as workers? compensation, rehabilitation and employment OHSA?s Safety Standards Solid Knowledge of Hazard Identification & Risk Management Techniques, Work at height, Confined Space, Excavation Safety, Hot Work Management, Lockout/ tag out Machinery Safety Standards/ Functional Safety ( Working Knowledge)Experience: Experience in leading Safety Strategies Experience in developing Safety Leadership, Systems and Culture People management & leadership Influencing others to achieve results8 to 10 years? experience of Engineering & Production functions including 5 years dedicated HSE function Relocation Eligible: Eligible for Standard Relocation Job Type: Regular
