Job Description

Its teaching hospital, the Aga Khan University Hospital, has been accredited by Joint Commission International for achieving the highest international healthcare standards.Job Role / Responsibilities: Reporting to the CMIO, the Training Manager will work in collaboration with the ClinicalInformatics, EHR business process teams, clinical and organisational teams, HIS/EHR Program Director and client personnel to implement an effective training program for each of the EHR applications.The end user adoption is a critical element of the successful deployment and long-term benefits of EHR. This is a close ended position for two years and will encompass managing and developing super users in departments, training plans, schedules, eLearning and classroom learning for users both pre and post live and managing long term new joiners and system upgrade training.Specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • creating the training calendar/catalogue of available training for end users while identifying and managing all training facilities/space/rooms required
  • assisting in designing and maintaining application curriculum for all training plans
  • assessing training needs and plans for re-training on a continuous basis
  • coordinating and managing attendance rosters and completing status for all types of trainings, eLearning, and instructor led sessions
  • promoting user compliance on training initiatives applicable to their learning platform and audience by monitoring/reporting on completion status
  • collaborating with all core teams to better understand the impact of the cultural changes associated with Electronic Health Record System
  • acting as the primary training contact for core team leaders/SME?s throughout the implementation, optimization and long term EHR life
  • working with AKU team members for maintaining super user strategy and training requirements for implementation and optimization
  • consolidating and updating appropriate systems to enable prompt and accurate recording of the training records for learners
  • escalating potential roadblocks to CMIO and HIS/EHR Program Director and providing plans for resolving or mitigating the impacts to the training plan
  • providing thorough status reports to HIS/EHR Program Director and relevant stakeholders
  • creating a strategy and plan for new content for Learning Management Systems
  • managing the training content upload/creation into Learning Management Systems
  • supporting the assessment on budgetary and staffing implications of all training of end users, which will include the impact training will have on the overall business performance of the organization.
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:You should have/be:
  • a higher diploma in a clinical background, preferably in Nursing
  • at least 5 years of relevant experience
  • proficiency with MS Office
  • excellent analytical, design, and organizational skills, with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • the ability to build effective working relationships across a wide range of teams and functions
  • the excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • the ability to demonstrate leadership and teamwork in critical or urgent initiatives.
