Short Description for Internal CandidatesAs a Director of Software Engineering, you lead a technical area and drive impact within teams, technologies, and projects across departments. Utilize your in-depth knowledge of software, applications, technical processes, and product management to drive multiple complex projects and initiatives, while serving as a primary decision maker for your teams and be a driver of innovation and solution delivery.Description for Internal CandidatesJob responsibilities

  • Leading technology teams with a platform mindset and a passion for people leadership rooted in helping your team do their best work, hiring, and performance mentoring
  • Accountable for decisions that influence teams? resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures
  • Carries governance accountability for coding decisions, control obligations, and measures of success such as cost of ownership, maintainability, and portfolio operations
  • Leads technology and process implementations to achieve functional technology objectives and delivers technical solutions that can be leveraged across multiple businesses and domains
  • Influences peer leaders and senior stakeholders across the business, product, and technology teams
  • Champions the firm?s culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
  • Create, develop, and deliver to the roadmap for the products to deliver to quality driven engineering practices.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • 15+ years of professional experience in technology/software engineering and 8+ years in technology leadership
  • Experience developing or leading cross-functional teams of technologists and building, scaling, and managing multiple high performing technology teams and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with full stack development & multiple tech stacks (such as java, react, micro frontends) and expertise with cloud technologies (AWS) ? compute, storage, network and data
  • Experienced lead to be a part of our mission to create a firm wide Agility metrics platform, using data to provide actionable insights and building high performing teams by developing, and recognizing talent
  • Experience leading a product as a Tech Product Owner and building high performing, secure applications and building security into the DNA of products
  • Is a champion of SRE practices, a culture of clean code, and mechanisms and tools to maintain a frictionless high quality dev environment
  • Successfully partnered with product management and tech stakeholders to deliver results
