JOB DESCRIPTION:Director ManufacturingJob Summary:Provides direction to manufacturing and finishing operations team including oral solids, liquids, semi-solids, and general health care products. J entails manufacturing of around 200 SKUs having an annual business value of $150 MM. This position manages two shift operations with around 1000 headcounts and ensure compliance of local regulatory environments CGMP EHS and Abbott quality standards during manufacturing and finishing operations.Principal Duties:

• Prepare and monitor operational plan for optimum utilization of resources i.e. material, labor and overheads.
• Ensure that products are manufactured under conditions which meet our policies EHS standards, regulatory and CGMP requirements.
• ensure compliance of Labor laws, security standing orders and code of business conduct.
• ensure provision of the necessary resources (area equipment workforce etc.) to produce products of the required quality.
• ensure that required initial and continuing training of production personnel including GMP trainings are carried out and adapted according to need.
• provide strategic direction in manufacturing technology and equipment. ensure that maintenance of premises and equipment, calibration and process validation are performed and recorded.
• coordinate with quality regarding QA audits, CAPA, complaints, ERs, market returns and trend analysis reports etc.
• Coordinate with QA, regulatory, technical center, engineering and supply chain and resolution of quality problems disposition of non-conforming issues and ensure uninterrupted product deliveries to commercial
• prepare plant annual budget, annual and long range capital plan present it for approval.
• participate and present supply issues in monthly S&OP.
• monitor supply and operations KPIs and perform root cause analysis where applicable.
• review and approve technical documents including SOPs, Manufacturing, and finishing directions including in process controls, shop orders, validation documents, change requests, CAPA and ERs etc.
• Ensure that the production records are reevaluated and signed by designated person before they are made available to quality assurance department.
• Review new product dossiers and manufacturing input for preparation of product registration/reregistration and their submission to regulatory department.
• review batch variance/yield report or with production managers and take appropriate steps for improvement.
• Expose prioritize and stimulate the reduction or elimination of non value added activities
• ensure employee development goal setting performance assessment and succession planning within department
• any other task signed by the director of operations

Knowledge And Experience:

• 10 plus years working experience of pharmaceutical manufacturing and finishing operations
• knowledge of local and international GMP requirements, quality and EHS standards
• knowledge of supply chain management of multinational companies
• knowledge of pharmaceutical operational finance
• knowledge of business excellence knowledge of new product development activities

Minimum Qualification

• Science Graduate / Pharmacy Graduate
