This role needs to strike the delicate balance between business growth (profitability) and risk mitigation for the Enterprise through a strong commercial sense, external market risk awareness and customer intimacy. The ability to manage difficult discussions and drive a robust challenge with the business stakeholders and partners, is critical. In view of the diverse and complex business scope of accountability, this role plays a critical part in bridging the Regional and Local agendas to bring alignment as well as drive functional excellence. It is accountable for the end-to-end Credit Management process, regardless of whether the activities are performed onshore or out of the Finance Operations centres in KL. The ?Credit? organisation covers four main activities ? Credit Management, Debt Collection & Recovery and Cash Application & Allocation. The role is also responsible for the efficient and effective operational management of credit risk according to policy and direction from credit committees. It actively supports the Sales organization on all Credit related matters & facilitation of credit sessions with Line of Business sales teams. This role plays an integral part in the Cluster Credit Leadership as well as Local Credit and Finance Committee, as relevant.Accountabilities:Manage Credit Activities Responsible for the efficient and effective management of credit risk according to Downstream Credit Manual (DCM) and direction from the credit committee. Conduct Credit visits to customers as required, and responsible for providing authorised approval for release of credit blocked orders and taking credit decisions.
