TheRole:Associate Director, Software Development/EngineeringThe Team: We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and skilled engineering leadInsurance domain within Market Intelligence. We strive to deliver solutions that are sector-specific, data-rich, and hyper-targeted for evolving business needs for FIG. Our Software development Leaders are involved in the full product life cycle, from design through release.The Impact: Market Intelligence is seeking an Associate Director, Software Development to lead teams working on creating software design, development, and maintenance forInsurance systems. This person would be working closely withthe Insurance development team(s) that manage and support the internal & external products for Insurance.What is in it for you:ÿ

Responsibilities

• Analyze the technology environment.
• Formulate and communicate technical vision and strategy to technology and business stakeholders.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze and formalize requirements.
• Establish the collaboration framework for multiple scrum teams.
• Mentor development teams around deliveries and quality of delivery
• Manage developers for the assigned team.
• Participate in technology selection.

• Control and accelerate solution development.
• Conduct code, design, and architectural reviews.
• Participate in project planning and estimation.
• Set and maintain a level of excitement in using various technologies to develop, support, and iteratively deploy real enterprise level software
• Ensure adherence of software engineering practices and implement automation across all elements of solution delivery

• Technical Leads will be expected to build solutions, architecture, algorithms, and designs which scale to the customers enterprise/global requirements

What We are Looking For:

• Proven experience of leading team(s) and projects, with strong project and program management skills.
• Strong written and verbal interpersonal skills
• Proven experience of application development experience with deep understanding of Design Patterns & Object-oriented programming, experience with Insurance applications and domain is a plus.

• Possess a true ?roll up the sleeves and get it done? working approach; demonstrated success as a problem solver, operating as a client-focused self-starter.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze and resolve performance issues through various techniques including testing, debugging, and profiling.
• Strong OOAD & Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) knowledge.
• Hands on development experience using C#, .NET 4.0/4.5, WPF, ASP. Net, SQL server.?

• Strong understanding of Cloud enabled applications (Containers, Dockers etc.)?
• Exposure to Data Engineering & Big Data technologies like Hadoop, Spark/Scala, Nifi & ETL will be a plus.
• Familiarity with enabling DevOps on enterprise application suite, will be a plus.
