Job Description

?Introduction to the Aga Khan University:Aga Khan University, chartered in 1983 as Pakistans first private international university, is committed to the provision of education, research, and health care of international standard relevant to Pakistan and the region.Job Role / Responsibilities:The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate strong leadership and problem-solving skills to ensure the smooth functioning of the daily operation of the Shared Research Services Office at Aga Khan University.You will be responsible to:

  • collaborate with leadership team members to determine and prioritize business strategies
  • work with leadership to deliver, monitor and communicate progress towards goals
  • oversee strategic business initiatives from ideation to implementation
  • assess risk when business decisions are made
  • provide department leaders with recommendations and consultation to improve teamwork
  • determine key performance indicators and how to measure team performance
  • plan, coordinate and lead meetings and workshops
  • identify and help solve core problems or opportunities within business processes
  • provide Director and other senior leaders with insight and analysis on the department?s operations
  • provide support and oversight for special projects and initiatives
  • provide tactical support to implement ideas
  • identify and provide recommendations on improvements across the organization
  • plan, coordinate and keep contents of a meeting focused
  • manage the Director?s schedule, scheduling meetings and planning travel
  • respond to inquiries on behalf of the Director.
Eligibility Criteria / Requirements:
  • at least a Bachelor?s degree, Masters of Business Administration preferred
  • experience with budget management and financial analysis
  • proven success in a project coordination role
  • strong project management and reporting skills, with a focus on interdepartmental communication
  • excellent oral and writing skills
  • excellent organization Skills and analytical skills
  • willing to Occasionally travel to research sites within and outside Karachi with overnight stays.
