(Hybrid)About the role:Assistant Manager Regulatory Affairs is an expert role responsible for managing and executing regulatory strategy and operations. The incumbent will be responsible for driving regulatory priorities in collaboration with key stakeholders in the Company.Your Impactful Goals will include:

• To ensure that Telenor Pakistan (TP) becomes the partner of choice for governments and takes a leading role as appropriate within the industry as well as amongst key allies on regulatory issues including Taxation, Energy and FTAs as appropriate.
• To contribute to the achievement of business objectives by ensuring regulatory impact mitigation on a cross functional basis and identifying opportunities in the development of the regulatory environment

Your Typical day at work

• To drive and manage the continuous development of TP?s regulatory engagement with a view to promoting regulation which balances the interests of consumers with the interests of government
• Help business to identify, define and promote a regulatory environment consistent with both TP?s business goals and business principles to ensure that the company can operate successfully and in a manner consistent with its beliefs
• Sustaining open and constructive relationships with key stakeholders, especially officials of Ministries directly relevant to TP operations, members of Federal and Provincial bureacacy, and Political Leadership
• Day to day dealing and coordination with relevant government departments and any other departments based on adhoc issues
• Acting as a key liaison point for the company with relevant stakeholders and engaging in an interactive dialogue with relevant stakeholders (including middle-senior level bureaucracy in government, regulators, Multi-lateral organizations, Industry colleagues on industry affairs, so as to create positive relationships built on mutual benefit and trust
• Representing TP on external forums on various taxation and fiscal policy matters
• Developing position papers on current and forward-looking taxation and fiscal policy issues based on Telenor?s strategic priorities and best international practice
• Providing consultation to key internal stakeholders on regulatory compliance
• Providing input to the public consultation drafts issued by Revenue authorities and other Regulatory Bodies, based on international best practices
• Supporting divisional stakeholders (e.g. Finance, Legal, Corporate Communications, Government Affairs etc.) in developing advocacy plans
• Identifying, recommending and implementing areas of improvement in regulatory compliance
• Working closely with Telenor Group and contributing to global projects

What we are looking for?Education: Minimum: Bachelors in Business, Economics, Law, Engineering, IT (from a reputable University)Preferred: Masters from a reputable university in any of the above areasWork experience:

• 5-7 years of Telecom regulatory experience
• Experience in 2 or more of the following areas: (a)Regulatory Operations (b) Taxation and fiscal policy development, (c) public relations campaigns
