Last Date to Apply:28th October, 2022Employment Type:This is a full-time position.Grade:This is a grade 2B position.Location:This role is based in Islamabad, Pakistan.Flexibility model: HybridAbout the Role:As the Assistant Manager Network Sourcing, you will be part of the RAN, Mobile Core, and Network Services Sourcing team and will report to the Senior Manager Network Sourcing. You will work closely with both Telenor Pakistan and Telenor Procurement Company. Further, you will be working closely with the Head of Category in contributing to the end-to-end Category management and strategy development, including sourcing execution, contract negotiation and supplier management processes. Your role is pivotal in identifying and realizing cost saving initiatives that deliver real business value in the category.Your Impactful Goals will include:

• Source equipment and services on the best available terms (quality, price, lead time) in accordance with stated specifications, mainly. This includes preparing RFQs/Tenders, lead from sourcing end on preparation/negotiation of agreement, evaluation of vendors/suppliers offers, end to end sourcing project management (activating/organizing complete sourcing project team), negotiations with vendors, analysis, preparing documentation for PO/contract approval, follow-ups, facilitation and tracking.
• Development and Maintenance of contracts and frame agreements as per organizational requirements and internal customer?s satisfaction. Liaise with User departments/Supplier/Legal dept. Negotiating terms and conditions of contracts.
• Developing effective and reliable sources of supply.
• Identify new vendors. Develop potential vendors. Rationalize the supplier base of the business to ascertain competitive and fair prices for all procurements. Monitoring purchase activities: This includes a wide variety of activities such as reviewing requisitions, analyzing specifications, investigating suppliers, analyzing capabilities, studying costs and prices, analyzing bids, negotiations and selecting suppliers, monitoring the business volumes being given to suppliers, etc.
• Post contract management of all the contracts of technology operations? domain. This includes contract governance and vendor relationship management as per company strategy and requirements

Your Typical Day of Work:

• Follow-up and Expediting: This involves various types of supplier liaison work, such as reviewing the status of orders, email communication, telephoning and faxing suppliers, and conducting meetings with suppliers
• Close liaison and clear communication with internal stakeholders e.g. technology operations, contract management team in sourcing, HSE, tax, accounts payable, RAM, Logistics department for matters relating to imported consignments, legal department for legal matters relating to suppliers and/or contracts
• Coordination with Telenor Procurement Company Category leads on the follow-up and closure of Issues, category preparations and active Engagement in Global Initiatives
• Ensure 100% compliance to Telenor (Group) Sourcing policies and procedures
• Identify, lead and execute cost saving initiatives that deliver value in the procurement of goods and services for the company
• Manage resources and stakeholders in a sourcing process
• Develop comprehensive understanding of the Category, contribute to end to end category strategy development and perform analysis to support category strategy work
• Take ownership and demonstrate accountably for product categories within Network sourcing
• Collaborate with user departments for preparing and executing the strategy, innovative analysis and proactively addressing procurement needs
• Prepare and lead TCO analysis during procurement processes and participate/lead the negotiations

What were looking for:Education:Bachelor /Master?s degree in a related technology field, Finance, Business or equivalent. Minimum 5 years in a procurement, negotiations, contract management and vendor management role preferably with experience in Network areaCIPS/PMP/Supply chain qualification shall be given preference.Work experience:

• Good understanding of overall sourcing processes
• Experience in Technology/Network Sourcing shall be preferred
