Assistant Head Nurse, Emergency ServicesEntityAgaKhan University HospitalLocationKarachi,PakistanIntroductionAgaKhan University Hospital invites applications for the position of AssistantHead Nurse.Assistant HeadNurse in unit management acts as in charge nurse in the absence of Head Nurse.Responsible for patient care assignment and care management material,operational and human resources management, collaboration with support servicesfor the assign unit in shift duties. Assistant the Head Nurse in day to daymanagement of the unit and orientation and development of new nursing staff.Job Role /Responsibilities:Youwill be responsible to:

  • assistHead Nurse in day to day management of the Inpatient area
  • teachand mentor new staff of the area
  • ensurethat quality care is delivered to patients
  • meetconsultants frequently to discuss patient care related issues
  • coordinatewith multidisciplinary teams to enhance quality of patient care
  • assesspatient care and acuity trends, plan and manage unit and staffing, and ensureavailability of supplies, equipment and other resources
  • Demonstrateinitiatives to review concepts of Quality Improvement in Nursing Practice(QINP).
RequirementsYou should have:
  • Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BScN) from an accredited school
  • Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
  • Valid license from Pakistan Nursing Council
  • Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), Safe Medication Administration, Aseptic Techniques, I/V Cannulation, Tool Training and Facilitation Course
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and supervisory skills
  • Willingness to work in shift duties.
