Virtual Servers Administrator

Job Description

Responsibilities: Checking servers and following up fault resolution with the manufacturing company. Affect the appropriate upgrade of the communications and video system. Ensure effective integration among some of the Ministrys systems -Teams, Genesis, Huawei, and Webex. Work on resolving user incident tickets of the Ministry staff when activating the communications system applications. Work on improving networked office telephones with features to facilitate work achievement. Install the necessary security updates as directed by the Cyber Security Procedures. Provide the necessary support to the Ministrys Servers Administration Team to resolve performance issues and / or faults, and ensure the standard requirements are applied. Ensure standard cyber security requirements are applied, including the installation and effective activation of protection systems on all servers. Install the applications and services according to the Ministrys requirements. Monitoring servers and resolving related performance issues and / or faults. Ensure the stability of the communications system for incoming and outgoing calls to the Ministrys Central Office and the Unified Call Center. Ensure the Remote Trial Video System stability. Ensure the Facsimile System stability. Requirement: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience as a Virtual Servers Administrator or a similar role. In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies, such as VMware, Hyper-V, or KVM. Strong understanding of server operating systems, including Windows Server and Linux. Familiarity with network protocols, storage technologies, and backup solutions. Experience in implementing security measures and best practices in virtual server environments. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teams and clients. Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware Certified Professional) are highly desirable.
