Qualification: Bachelor?s degree in Engineering / Construction Management. Master?s Degree in Engineering is desirable.Experience: 20+ year?s significant experience in EPC firms with a minimum experience of 15 years in construction management.Role Objective: Supporting VP-Infra to Lead, guide and manage the entire operations of the Infra Unit. Review resource and material procurement plans, projects specifications, cost estimates, monitor all projects and sites to ensure all projects are completed as per budgeted time and cost.Duties & Responsibilities:-Strategic? Plan & develop the corporate strategy for the Infra unit along with VP and ensure it meets the objectives.? Prepare the Business plan along with VP for the unit by understanding & managing the client requirements to ensure it?s within the budgetary control of the organization.? Conceptualizing the project plan at the tender stage to ensure the execution is carried out in an effective manner.Financial? Assisting in the preparation of Cost estimates, requests for proposals and bid documents; conducts or directs analytical studies to ensure it is in line with the business plan.? Oversees and direct all capital expenditures for the construction and alteration of project facilities,infrastructure and real property to ensure consistency with the planning & design goals and compliance with standards of Company.Operational? Monitors daily progress reports to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures; evaluates proposed changes to approved plans and specifications.? Develops and employ systems to monitor project performance against budget authorization & project schedules by working with project management staff to identify variances or discrepancies ensuring plans are implemented to correct ineffective operations.? Review performance of projects in a timely manner to ensure it is line with the business plan.? Coordinates with vendors of Infra unit and monitors work completed by vendors to ensure quality of materials used is not compromised and is effectively in line with Company?s standards.? Oversee and participate collaboratively on negotiations for all contracts with general contractors and administers company billing procedure to ensure all procedures are executed without discrepancies and all contracts are negotiated to match the requirements of the project.? Assist and provide information in the tendering process to adopt optimal pricing using latest costing information to ensure completion of all bids/pre-bid work.People Development? Maintains personal and professional development to meet changing demands of the job participates in appropriate training activities and encourages / support staff in their development training.? Lead, coach, mentor, train and develop the members of the Infra Team.Key Skills and Knowledge:-? Highly-developed oral and written communication skills.? Strong & current knowledge of construction industry terminology, methods, materials and practice.? Strong & current knowledge of land development, engineering, planning and architectural practices and functions as related to construction responsibilities.? Strong communication, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.? Ability to prioritize tasks & motivate sub-ordinates.?
