Scope:Supervise a team of engineers in technical developments of a specific or multiple applications and integration into engineering and non-engineering systems. Support the delivery of the engineering vision and continual development and best practices. Responsible for all instances of applications on projects and providing overall technical responsibility across all projects in Petrofac which use those applicationsResponsibilities:Requirements:Provides support and input into the overall engineering vision and development plan. ? Implement the process of change management with respect to specific application/s and interfaces with other applications. ? Keep up to date knowledge in development and latest software version releases and rolling out improvements. ? Responsible for integration of application with other engineering and non-engineering systems as required as part of the development. ? Ensure that overall development does not impact adversely on the IT infrastructure. ? Develop and maintain Corporate EPC Standard Project Setup. ? Interface with Project Controls & Construction department to make workflow process and developments. ? Ensure that Software changes are documented and changes are tracked in the system. Overview and responsibility for database integrity. ? Review and maintain consistency of applications across engineering in Sharjah and other operational centres. ? Manage the work share set-up and installation of the application. Develop and maintain detailed work processes for the applications. ? Coordinate and support the setup, configuration and customisation of application for each project in Petrofac. ? Be the focal point for problem solving and trouble shooting on the specific application. Provide guidance and assistance for system administrators. ? Develop and provide training for system administrators and users. ? Roll out system enhancements and application changes in a controlled manner and implement a change management programme. Ensure that changes which are implemented are logged , tested and approved before roll out. ? Perform other related duties as and when directed by the supervisor. Requirements:Bachelor?s Degree Engineering with a minimum 7-10 years of work experience preferable from a background in working for the EPC of the Oil and Gas Industry. Detailed Knowledge and development and delivery experience in one or more of under-mentioned applications ? PDS, SPPID, SPF, PDMS, PDS, SPE, SP3D, SPEL, SPI, ConstructSim etc.
