Principal Tasks (Duties & Responsibilities):Candidate will be responsible for the following activities and wherever he /she need any support or clarification, they can consult Chief Internal Auditor and their work will also be supervised, reviewed and approved by Chief Internal Auditor.? Assist in performing operational and IT audits to ensure compliance with company guidelines / policies and effectiveness of internal controls environment.? Assist in reviewing operations including underwriting, claims settlements, provisions for technical reserves, reinsurance, solvency margin, investments and financial reporting processes etc. in order to provide assurance that major business are being managed appropriately.? Assist in review the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls environment (manual and automated controls). ? Assist in ensuring compliance with the applicable laws and regulations.? Ability to draft audit programs (i.e. defined design & operating effectives procedures for auditable operations & processes)? Ability to carried out fieldwork in line with the approved audit program. ? Must be able to write clearly preliminary internal audit observations / finding and present this to Chief Internal Auditor for his review.? Ensure compliance with the NGLIC Internal Audit Manual and best audit practices throughout the auditing process.? Ensure compliance with Insurance Code of Corporate Governance for Insurance Companies and Standard of Internal Audit Professional Practice. ? Assist in follow up on prior audit observation / issues and work with issue owners to ensure timely implementation.? Assist whenever needed for departmental initiatives/projects.Minimum Qualifications, Key Strength & Abilities: ? Four years university degree in accounting, business, finance, auditing OR IT related qualification. ? Holding professional qualification or pursuing such as CPA, ACCA, CIA and CISA will be a plus.? Understanding and knowledge of accounting & internal auditing principals and methodology. ? Basic knowledge and experience with computer aided auditing, continuous monitoring and data analytic tools (ACL, IDEA and MS Office).? Fluent Arabic and English language both written and oral.? Strong presentation, interpersonal and communication skills.? Possess analytical skills and the ability to think creatively about the ways to analyze insurance business and operations. ? Ability to travel when required (estimated travel 20% to 30%).Minimum Work Experience: 2 to 3 years of experience in accounting or auditing required.
