The Consultant is required to provision the following services, including but not limited to the following:? The Geomatics Lead provides leadership to the GIS, Remote Sensing and Document Control teams and reporting to the Head of ICT.? The Geomatics Lead is responsible for the provision of expertise, leadership and vision to ensure the effective and efficient development and delivery of geomatics services for the company.? Geomatics and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) services play a significant role in enabling effective decision support and reporting; also it help increase efficiencies and effectiveness of spatial and non-spatial data and GIS applications; provides a valued resource of spatial information and GIS expertise; increases ability of company to effectively meet its E&P objectives.? Develops strategies and plans which ensure the continuous improvement of Geomatics Services and their value within the company;? Maintains the highly effective exchange and interoperability of Geospatial Information;? Establishes and monitor processes to measure and evaluate the effectiveness of geomatics services to ensure they are meeting established goals and objectives through;? Manages the provision of geomatics services through the coordination, administration and delivery of projects and initiatives;? Manage centralized standardized and sustainable data management of spatial and non-spatial data across company operations;? Geo-referenced Information System GIS and Remote sensing RS data and documents; ? Ensure integrity confidentiality and security of the GIS and RS technical data;? Maintains a high degree of awareness of new advances and development in geomatics services, practices and technology;? Provides expert guidance and advice on the use of new technology or data management methods to improve the interoperability and exchange of geomatics information.
