Our Company has one exciting mission:To entertain the human race.PRIMARY PURPOSE:As an Assistant Executive Steward, you will be responsible for assigned operational functions within the department. You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to createWOWmemories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Supervise assigned operational functions within the department consistent with the strategic plan, fiscal budget, and the company?s short term and long-term profitability objectives* Supervise the delivery and measurement of guest service consistent with the company?s core service standards and brand attributes* Supervise assigned staff to include: hire recommendations that encompass the company?s diversity commitment, training, coaching, performance feedback, recommend and administer discipline, and scheduling* Provide ideas and suggestions for new products, services, technology and processes* Make routine inspections of all equipment and kitchen areas to ensure that cleanliness and sanitary procedures are maintained* Requisition new and replacement equipment as needed* Approve requisitions related to all cleaning supplies and equipment and monitor supply requisitions to ensure costs are kept to a minimum without losing quality and usage of materials* Maintain inventory and record keeping for all dinnerware, flatware and glassware, order china, glass and silver* Perform other job-related duties as requestedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:* Possess developed managerial skills* Knowledge of all kitchen steward functions and all materials and equipment used in the kitchen* Able to lead and mentor a team* Ability to read and write proficiently to evaluate reports, correspondence and statistical information* Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular attention to detail* Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills* Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contactsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:* Two (2) years of experience in Stewarding* Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidaysPREFERRED:* Two (2) years of supervisory experience* Three (3) years of experience in Stewarding within the hotel/casino industry* Experience working in a similar resort setting* Experience managing employees using a Collective Bargaining Agreement* Ability to speak fluently in Spanish* High school diploma or equivalentLocation:Las Vegas, Nevada MGM Resorts International develops, builds and operates unique destination resorts designed to provide a total resort experience, including first-class accommodations and dining, world-class entertainment, state-of-the-art meeting and convention facilities, and high-quality retail and gaming experiences.
