Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE:As a Lifeguard, you will set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to createWOWmoments and memories they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Provide safety by watching over water and deck areas and responding to emergency situations* Adhere to company policies and legal requirements regarding safety, health, and welfare of guests, employees, and the property* Report all guest and employee incidents/accidents to a Supervisor and complete needed documentation* Direct guests to key locations in the property including emergency exits and procedures* Proactively greet and interact with guests, assist all guests with pool side needs to include seating, towels, hours of operations, ADA requirements, amenities, directions and other needs* Respond and resolve guest needs in a timely manner and creatively solve problems with the ability to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and resolve potential difficulties* Responsible for daily pool set-up and breakdown, cleaning, linen distribution and maintaining attentiveness to the environment to enhance guest experience* Perform other job-related duties as neededKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:* Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms* Ability to work under pressure* Ability to read and write* Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment* Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills* Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts* Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standardsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:* No minimum requirementsPREFERRED:* Experience as a Pool Guest Attendant or Lifeguard* Experience in a similar resort settingLocation:Las Vegas, NevadaMGM Resorts International develops, builds and operates unique destination resorts designed to provide a total resort experience, including first-class accommodations and dining, world-class entertainment, state-of-the-art meeting and convention facilities, and high-quality retail and gaming experiences.
