Automation Technician Americas Got Talent - Luxor page is loadedAutomation Technician Americas Got Talent - LuxorAutomation Technician Americas Got Talent - LuxorlocationsProperty - Luxor time typePart time posted onPosted Yesterday job requisition id200068PRIMARY PURPOSE:Under the supervision of the Head, Assistant Head, and Leads of the Automation Department, the Automation Technician will collaborate with other theatrical departments during the performances, rehearsals, and/or maintenance work with the goal of presenting and entertainment experience beyond our guest?s expectations.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:* Operate the automation control console in a safe and consistent manner for performances, artist training and maintenance operations* Maintain cue track documentation and participate in cue track rotation as directed* Inspect and maintain electronic, hydraulic and motorized equipment and systems* Update maintenance and inspection records as directed* Maintain a safe working environment by conforming to all established safety policies and procedures* Participate in required safety classes and emergency rescue procedure training* Maintain a flexible schedule for work calls, special events, rehearsals, training, maintenance and evening show performances* Develop a thorough knowledge of Automation Department equipment specific to the production in order to operate it safely* Participate in special projects including the installation of new automated show elements as directed* Perform other job-related duties as requestedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:* Able to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and software problems* Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms* Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts* Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to company standardsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:* High school diploma or equivalent* Three (3) years of experience with theatrical or other automation systems* Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidaysPREFERRED:* Vocational school diploma or experience in a related field* One (1) year of experience with contemporary show control systems for large-scale productions* Experience working in a similar resort settingLocation:Las Vegas, Nevada MGM Resorts International develops, builds and operates unique destination resorts designed to provide a total resort experience, including first-class accommodations and dining, world-class entertainment, state-of-the-art meeting and convention facilities, and high-quality retail and gaming experiences.
