The candidate will be required to handle the special health needs of newborns. Responsibilities include assisting at the time of delivery and in the subsequent care of the newborn, diagnosing the babies in the NICU and making all the decisions about the treatment plan, order tests and medications, perform procedures, and manage the medical care of each child,make regular rounds to check on critically ill babies and ensure that all proper procedures are implemented by the NICU medical team to stabilize and improve the babys condition and participate in the follow-up care of newborn babies as outpatients on a short-term basis.
