Senior Developer

Job Description

The Senior Developer will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of software solutions. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and experience working in a collaborative team environment. Additionally, the Senior Developer will be responsible for mentoring and coaching junior developers, ensuring that development standards are met, and identifying and addressing technical issues.

• Managing changes and complex incidents related to the applications within their unit including troubleshooting technical issues, finding solutions, and ensuring that changes are implemented smoothly.
• Implementing best practices for development, testing, and deployment, as well as staying up to date with new technologies and tools that could improve application performance and user experience.
• Offering technical assistance, analyze and resolve technical problems, conduct root cause analysis of production errors.
• Designing applications that meet the requirements of the business involves writing code, creating algorithms, and ensuring that the applications are optimized for performance.
• Identifying and resolving any issues whilst ensuring that the applications meet quality standards and performing comprehensive testing.
• Implementing changes to applications in response to business needs or changes in technology.
• Developing business, functional, and technical specifications, plan the development process by identifying what should be created and how (this may entail choosing development frameworks, tools, and languages), all while collaborating with the Senior Analyst in a coordinated and timely manner.
• Verifying that optimized code is supplied, ensure that system development adheres to important software engineering principles and the accepted software development methodologies.
• Creating test cases, elaborate on test scenarios, strategize, and perform automated and manual testing as needed, in collaboration with the team and stakeholders, in order to ensure that high-quality software products and systems free of errors are delivered.

• Must have INSURANCE EXPERIENCE
• A bachelors in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required.
• Preferred certifications: CBAP, CSDP, ITIL, etc.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the related field, preferable within the industry in which the organization operations.
