ITS is looking at hiring a Head of Legal Department to be based at Kuwait.Purpose of job:To Provide legal counsel and guidance related to all activities of the company to ensure maximum protection of its legal rights and to maintain its operations within the limits prescribed by domestic law. To coordinate the defence of the company against legal suits or claims, and to coordinate the prosecution of the companys claims against others.Key Work:1) To secure the organization and its all possessions from any illegal problems.2) To provide legal counsel and guidance to company management, against all matters involving legal problems / issues.3) To assess documents to ensure legal protection of the organization.4) To review and study lawsuits filed by an individual or other business and find appropriate methods to save and ensure prevention of loss to the organization.5) To prepare / review proposed contracts, leases, formal agreements, insurance renewals and other legal instruments to safeguard the organizations interests.6) To make sure that the organizations products are patented and its rights are protected.7) To make sure that all legal formalities like tax payments, assets maintenance, agreements of lease and other obligations are fulfilled in time.8) To handle cases assigned to conclusion, whether by settlement, trial or appeal.9) To ensure compliance of laws and regulations for all operations in an organization10) To organize and direct the companys legal activities to protect the organizations interests from a legal perspective and prevent legal disputes from occurring.11) To ensure all legal documents are secured and maintained accurately.12) To keep track of the latest changes and law regulations and advise the organization of any changes required to be complaint with regulations.Education & Experience A Bachelors degree in law, Master degree is desirable. 20+ years of relevant experience (more than 10 years in leading a Legal team)
