As a Sous Chef with Fairmont Hotels and Resorts you will lead a team of culinary professionals in creating spectacular dishes that will create memorable dining experiences for our Guests. Your experience in managing various aspects of a kitchen will be reflective in positive Guest satisfaction and Colleague engagement results.Hotel Overview: The Fairmont Amman features 317 luxurious guestrooms and suites including Fairmont Gold, the brands hotel within a hotel featuring amenities such as private reception and guest lounge. The hotels food and beverage offerings will provide unique concepts designed to add flair and sophistication to an already exciting city.Summary of Responsibilities:Reporting to the Executive Sous Chef, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow colleaguesEnsure the consistency in the preparation of all food items for a la carte and or buffet menus according to hotel recipes and standardsConduct daily shift briefings to kitchen colleaguesEnsure all kitchen colleagues are aware of standards & expectationsLiaise daily with Outlet Managers to keep open lines of communication regarding guest feedbackMaintain and enhance the food products through creative menu development and presentationHave full knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotionsActively interact with guests at tablesBalance operational, administrative and Colleague needsEnsure proper staffing and scheduling in accordance to productivity guidelinesEnsure the cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils, and equipmentFollow kitchen policies, procedures and service standardsFollow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverageOther duties as assigned REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications:Previous leadership experience in the culinary field requiredJourneymans papers or international equivalent requiredDiploma Certification in a Culinary discipline an assetComputer literate in Microsoft Window applications an assetStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesHighly responsible & reliableAbility to work well under pressure in a fast paced environmentAbility to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a teamAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all timesPhysical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to):Constant standing and walking throughout shiftFrequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbsOccasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, liftingOccasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and rampsConstant standing and walking throughout shiftVisa REQUIREMENTS: Please note that you must be eligible to live and work in Jordan.APPLY TODAY: Whether youre launching your career or seeking meaningful employment.About Fairmont Hotels & ResortsAt Fairmont Hotels & Resorts we offer our guests the finest hospitality experience in each of our destinations.
