Job Description

Established in 2015 and headquartered in the UAE, BitOasis is MENA?s largest crypto platform. The company recently announced the completion of a USD $30m Series B financing, the largest to date of any crypto platform in the region, from a combination of leading global and regional investors including WAMDA, Jump Capital, Alameda Research, and Pantera Capital. Earlier in 2021, BitOasis announced that it had crossed over USD $3bn in trade executed on its platform since inception with half of that volume being originated in 2021 alone.We are looking for an Android developer responsible for the development and maintenance of applications aimed at a range of Android devices including mobile phones and tablets. Your primary focus will be development of Android applications and their integration with back-end services.You will be working alongside other engineers and developers working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and the creation of quality products is essential.Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain native Android mobile applications, libraries, and services.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify use cases and interfaces to provide the stakeholders with the right solution.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Work with outside data sources and APIs.
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability and general reliability
  • Collaborate with a team to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
  • Ensure code quality and write automated tests (unit and integration)
Skills
  • Proven software development experience and Android skills development.
  • Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs. GraphQL experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
  • Ability to design applications around natural user interfaces, such as ?touch?.
  • Strong knowledge of Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
  • Understanding of Google?s Android design principles and interface guidelines.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, Mercurial or SVN.
  • Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, andemerging technologies.
  • Experience publishing a high quality Android application to the Google Play Store.
  • You owned, or were a primary contributor, to the development of at least one applicationon the app store.
