Recreational Services Associate

Job Description

OverviewThe Recreational Services Associate is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the fitness center operations, learning resource center (LRC) operations, Morale Welfare & Recreation (MWR) center operations, theater operations, marketing, media center operations, and information ticket and tours (ITT). Services provided include resale operations, facility & equipment management and basic repair, special events, games, cultural tours and day trips, and other supporting activities as specified in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).Responsibilities

1. Responsible for the day-to-day operation, execution, and personnel supervision of all Recreational Service facilities and related activities as specified in the Performance Work Statement.
2. Responsible for communicating and upholding company standards, leading by example, working as a team and providing clean, friendly and well maintained recreation centers.
3. Shall plan and execute recreational activities.
4. Responsible for the maintenance and condition of the equipment in each facility. Shall establish and maintain procedures for tracking and issuing CAC equipment to guests.
5. Shall provide complimentary snacks such as popcorn during hours of operation.
6. Shall establish and maintain appropriate inventory levels and complete weekly inventory of all equipment and supplies.
7. Shall ensure bottled water is transported and stocked in the proper refrigeration units for guests.
8. Shall answer customer feedback in various forms and address comments in a timely, professional manner.
9. Shall provide set up and breakdown of Government furnished equipment such as tables, chairs, music system, ice chests, stages, etc.
10. Responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, presentable, professional atmosphere, free of dust, clutter and trash in all working facilities and areas.
11. Responsible for maintaining a comprehensive, flexible, and properly documented training program.
12. Responsible for proper utilization and safeguarding of all government and contractor provided property (e.g., to include government facilities, equipment and tools).
13. Responsible for precise execution of company time reporting procedures and accurate completion of timesheet.
14. Shall perform as supplemental personnel as needed for all Installation Service functional areas.
15. Shall ensure oversight of LN workforce in accordance with 332 AEWI and AFCENTI 32-1002.
16. Shall perform escort duties.
17. Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with contractual, functional, and mission requirements.

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications

• Education/Certifications: One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
  • Must have a High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current, valid U. S. Passport and U. S. Driver?s License.
  • Must be certified or shall be willing to receive certification to drive up to a 10K forklift.
  • Must be able to or shall be willing to learn to drive manual transmission vehicles.
  • Must have and maintain a valid U. S. SECRET Security Clearance prior to deployment.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English fluently.
  • Must be able to pass MOD15 employment and deployment qualification requirements that include psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, background checks, etc.
  • Candidates must successfully complete hands on CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear) defense training. Training includes the successful fit testing of DoD provided protective gear.
• Experience:
  • A minimum of two (2) years of working in a recreational facility setting with supervisory experience.
  • Management experience to include: supervision of employees to include local nationals, completed required reports, and dealing professionally with the customer.
• Skills:
  • Great communication, teamwork and customer service skills.
  • Capable of operating audio and visual equipment.
  • Must be skilled with Microsoft programs such as Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Able and willing to work periods of long hours to meet mission requirements
  • Military experience in a contingency environment and knowledge and experience working with government contracts preferred.
• Other requirements:
  • Work will be primarily indoors, but may be outdoors to support various events. Exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, chemicals may occur. Overtime and shift work may be required depending on contractual needs. Employee must comply with all Federal, State and Local regulations and published Company work rules as well as written instructions. Task specific work environment training will be provided as required. Must be prepared to function in a wartime environment to support U. S. interests. 100% Overseas Assignment.
