Number: 151427 Years of Experience 1 - 16Project Assistant- Service Contract and Requirements Blumont is looking to hire a Project Assistant-Part Time, to work with the soap-making community at the Made in Zaatari center (MIZ). There is a desire among the soap-makers to expand into the manufacture of additional products as a way to extend their client base and increase the sustainability of their business. Scoping of a potential CBO partner is also underway, with support from UNHCR, and the project assistant will be expected to help facilitate this process.Job Function/ Description:* Provide a direct interface between the project beneficiaries and Blumont, UNHCR, the Givaudan team and key partners such as Prof Helen Storey and KIMA, as well as any external business consultants recruited to support the professionalization of the womens activities.* Facilitate contact and discussion with the soap-making community at the MIZ center, as well as any other groups of women who will benefit from training linked to the Givaudan project.* Facilitate discussion between the MIZ soap-makers and other craft groups in Zaatari, where co-creation of finished products could be mutually beneficial. * Assist with the logistical organization and delivery of training programmers and educational workshops in Zaatari, and in the urban area (with support from UNHCR). This will include educational workshops for the TIGER children.* With help from Blumont IT support, assist the ladies to set up relevant business tools on the computers which Blumont will provide eg: Client database, stock-keeping, financial accounts.* Provide concise written and verbal reports on activities to all key stakeholders* In partnership with UNHCR, assist the MIZ community in securing a business partnership with an appropriate local commercial organization, in order to facilitate sales of their produce.* Assist the MIZ ladies to scope and execute potential business opportunities for the products they produce (eg: Hotels, wedding gifts, corporate gifts, Bazaars) this may include follow-up of opportunities identified by external business consultants.* The project assistant will be expected to track any evolution of the legal context in Jordan, as it pertains to employment opportunities for the ladies.Qualifications and Consultant:* Associate or bachelors degree in a relevant field required* Minimum of 1 years relevant work experience in the industry* Additional certifications that exemplify a desire for continued education preferred* Fluency in spoken and written English and Arabic are essential* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with people from all backgrounds.* Keen attention to detail and an aptitude for problem-solving* Able to proactively address potential issues* Excellent computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite* Collaborative working style and team-player attitude* Positive and encouraging personality* Highly motivated with a strong work ethic* Outstanding organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks* Able to thrive in a high-volume, deadline-driven work environment* Local experience of refugee lives and livelihoods is an advantage.
