Job Description

This class specification represents only the core areas of responsibilities; specific assignment will vary depending on the needs of the department. Four roles are to be appointed.?

  • Making plans using detailed drawings
  • Preparing estimates and budgets
  • Creating accurate project specifications
  • Designing engineering experiments
  • Creating technical reports
  • Completing regulatory documents concerning safety issues
  • Communicating with clients and team members about analysis results
  • Designing, maintaining, implementing or improving electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems for industrial or commercial purposes
  • Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment
  • Conferring with clients, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects
  • Establishing construction, manufacturing or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations
  • Estimating material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation
  • Complaining with job specifications and supervising tendering procedures
  • Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography, and other data to plan projects
  • Plan and design transportation or hydraulic systems and structures, following construction and government standards, using design software and drawing tools
  • Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety standards
  • Performing detailed calculations to establish manufacturing, construction or installation standards and specifications
  • Defining and inspecting performance measures for control and instrumentation systems to ensure compliance for plant, pipeline and other system performance
  • Preparing technical drawings, specifications of electrical systems, or topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards and client requirements
  • Designing, implementing, maintaining, and improving electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products and systems?
