The Jordan Country Program Associate works with the country team to support grants management functions, reporting, project-related communications, and program development, as well as program implementation. The position is also responsible for supervising interns, as needed. The position holder will work closely with MENA team members and other staff based in the region, in Brussels, and in Washington D.C. The position reports to the Jordan Country Manager.Major Responsibilities:Grants Management (50%)* Leads grants management of a portfolio of the Jordan country office, especially in the start-up and close-out processes of each grant, and with close support for the evolving context inside Jordan. This includes leading compliance of grants with donor and internal policies. * Provide coordination between the country program and the MENA regional team, as well as other support units, including the Institutional Learning Team, Finance, and Operations departments.* Work with the project team and Country Manager to produce donor reports, ensuring results-oriented focus and quality reporting.* Support editing and polishing of all external notes and documents released by each project of the Jordan Country Office.* Produce communications material on Jordan program activities and events for internal and external distribution, including updating and maintaining content for Jordan programs on the Search website.* Travel within Jordan to provide project support when needed.Program Development (50%)* Develop and write project proposals and concept notes, based on programmatic ideas of the Jordan Country Program.* Champion proposal development processes when needed and appropriate* Maintain relationships with contacts from major donors and partners.* Represent Search at events and meetings.* Develop briefing packages for the Country Manager for external engagementJob Requirements:* Bachelor?s degree in one of the social sciences, Middle East or Arab studies, conflict resolution, international development, or a related field * Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience in a related field.Competency Behavior Indicators (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)* Initiates brainstorming or problem-solving meetings.
