31ten is looking to make a number of new hires into our local government consulting team. 31ten operates a flat structure reflecting the value we place on each team member?s contribution, so we only have one consulting band which accommodates consultants with a range of experiences and associated reward packages, offering opportunities to grow and develop your business development, client delivery and technical skills from the point you are at right now. We are interested in hearing from people who have previously worked for either a management consultancy and/or in the public sector. Jordan joined 31ten with 2 years? experience of working in the public sector and 6 months with a leading management consultancy. Jordan wanted to try out a range of different types of consultancy engagement, so 31ten were able to offer him several projects in his first six months. One of these involved helping a local authority to transition from a limited capability legacy system to a cloud-based application. Jordan designed data gathering tools and worked closely with his team to design and lead workshop sessions to draw out future requirements before co-ordinating a soft market testing exercise which informed the Council?s digital strategy.Hanna? Hanna joined 31ten with six years of experience, firstly as a local government officer and latterly at a large consultancy. Hanna was assigned to lead two projects simultaneously. The first was a social care transformation programme where the client was seeking to de-risk their savings programme through more robust programme and stakeholder management. Following this, Hanna was required to lead client workshops to facilitate the development of budget savings proposals. At the same time, she was asked to support a regionally based client to produce and quality assure business cases to draw down against a multi-million-pound regional innovation fund. Hanna was required to both provide feedback on business cases completed by others but also liaise with stakeholders and bring together disparate information to create a compelling case.
