*About Us: *Evil Scientist Academy provides exciting, hands-on science programs for kids.*About This Job: *-Instructors teach after-school science classes to elementary-age students-Classes are offered in South Jordan and other nearby cities. Teachers teach classes on site at local rec centers.-The approximate schedule for this position is Tuesday-Thursday 4:15-6:45 p.m.-Instructors are paid 35 per hour for teaching, set up and clean up ($87.50 for a 2.5 hour shift) and given an additional $35 per week to prepare the classes. (About $297.50 per week total).-Class materials, training, and lesson plans are provided.-Classes are held during the school year.*Position Responsibilities: *-Conducting hands-on science experiments with groups of up to 25 students at a time.-Conducting classes in an exciting way.-Ensuring the student safety during experiments.-Use lesson plans to teach basic chemistry, magnets, static electricity etc.*Instructor Qualifications: *-Extremely reliable with a proven ability to report to work regularly and on time.-Good with children-Pass a criminal background check-Commitment to work through at least to the end of the May 2023, but longer-term commitments are strongly preferred.-Have a reliable personal vehicle to drive to different class locations.-Able to lift and carry 30 pounds at a time.Job Type: Part-timePay: $35.00 per hourBenefits:* Flexible scheduleEducation:* High school or equivalent (Required)Experience:* Childcare or Camp: 2 years (Required)Work Location: One location
