Job Description

SummaryEnsures timely procurement of equipment, supplies and services through Oracle Purchasing applications, and maintains an effective relationship with potential suppliers and Department Personnel.Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Reviews Purchase Order (PO) file to verify specifications, quantities, delivery dates and price comparisons prior signing the hard copy and approving forwarding in Oracle.
  2. Liaisons with healthcare professional staff or other requestors/departments and representatives of vendor/suppliers, discuss product related matters, negotiate long-term agreement, discounts and payment terms.
  3. Ensures that PO are processed accordingly to the purchasing priorities by using the monitoring tools (system/oracle reports) and discussing the situation with subordinates for enhancement.
  4. Ensures that products and supplies are in accordance to PO/Purchase requisition?s specification and recommends alternate products to the end-users.
  5. Ensures the adequate processing of PO to manufacturers/suppliers.
  6. Communicates with all end-users Departments, and responds promptly to their inquiries.
  7. Reviews and completes supplier/vendor Data Sheet prior to system entry and manages/assign workload to buyers/ expediters for processing.
  8. Evaluates performance of subordinates and makes recommendations for promotions and disciplinary actions. Counsels employees and provides training and assistance in employee development.
  9. Follows all KFSHRC (Gen. Org.) policies and procedures.
  10. Participates in self and others? education, training and development, as applicable.
EducationMaster?s or Bachelor?s Degree in Hospital Administration or other related discipline is required.Experience RequiredThree (3) years of related experience including one year in a supervisory capacity with Master?s Degree or five (5) years with Bachelor?s Degree is required.Other Requirements(Certificates)Saudi Nationals only.
