As well will be supervising the Quality staff, which includes scheduling, approving time records, periodic evaluation, counselling, and performance documentation. This is a full-time permanent position within Kerry Saudi Arabias Jeddah offices.Key responsibilities

  • Conduct self-audit program.
  • Responsible for product quality improvement.
  • Standardisation of all structures, work, training, procedures & records.
  • Participates in the establishment and implementation of quality classifications, testing procedures and standards for raw materials for processes and recommends modifications or takes corrective action on raw materials, processes or quality standards where warranted.
  • Develops and implements programs to maintain the plant operation in compliance with regulatory agencies and customer expectations including facility structure (plant and grounds), and quality management systems.
  • Responsible for raw material quality improvement, co-ordinates the disposition of out-of-specification products, to monitor and review the effectiveness of in-coming raw material quality control and update the documentation to the current practices.
  • Responsible for supplier corrective action request (SCAR) management.
  • Monitor and motivate staff performance and develop or upgrade their skills / knowledge.
  • To supervise the right cleaning procedures in raw material laboratory.
  • Maintenance and implementation of the Quality Management System and Food Safety Prerequisite Programs.
  • Development and maintenance of the key support systems for Manufacturing Audits and certification schemes; this include Contaminants Surveillance, Allergen Validation, Change Management and Food Defense Programs.
  • Supporting the implementation of Quality System and Food Safety initiatives.
  • Supporting implementation of the Global Quality Management System (GQMS), interacting closely with Manufacturing Quality to ensure that compliance to the GQMS is maintained.
  • Play a part in ensuring site accreditation and certification (i.e. GFSI, customer audits) is obtained and maintained.
  • Facilitate quality system training and share learnings to functional team.
  • Support in ensuring that audit related root cause analysis & corrective actions are implemented.
  • Help to maintain Documentation System for Quality Documents. Assist plants with documentation to ensure procedures, plans and work instructions are compliant with the GQMS.
  • Build knowledge and subject matter expertise across Kerry sites.
  • Report audit & implementation metrics on a monthly basis.
  • Investigation on Customer Complaint Management System.
  • Monthly quality reporting to Customers and Management.
  • Will be able to do in-plant and off-plant supplier or system audits.
  • Monitor and coordinate the pest control activity for the plant.
  • Ensure laboratory equipment and instruments are correctly set up, maintained and calibrated as per specific schedule.
  • Verify the final release of finished goods through product sensory, review CCP, production and microbiological results records.
  • Ensure all records are well documented and traceable.
  • Conduct shelf-life extension testing.
  • Investigate customer complaints.
  • Support with customer and third-party audits as required.
  • Approves and assesses new and current suppliers.
  • Verify and approve the labeling/cartons artworks as per guideline.
  • Register the Finished goods products in SFDA and arrange the sample based on the requirements.
  • Develops and implements an approved, competitive supplier listing.
Qualifications and skills
  • Minimum Degree Food Science / Microbiology / Biotechnology with related manufacturing experience.
  • Relevant experience of at least 10 years total in a specialty or food manufacturing.
  • Experience in handling the Internal & External audits in accordance with relevant norms/standards.
  • Well versed with food safety standards (FSSC22000, HACCP, ISO 22000, Yum, BRC, BK etc.) & documentation/review/updating/continual improvements for system compliance.
  • Experience in quality problem identification & solving process with CAPA based on good industrial knowledge.
  • Online control documents / SOPs updating, correction, improvements and monitoring.
  • Well experienced & competently trained in handling certification audits & customer audit like ISO/FSSC/BRC/YUM/SUBWAY/BURGERKING & local ministry audit.
  • Promoting performance improvement and quality improvement programs throughout the organization.
  • English Fluent.
  • Expert observation, analysis and judgement (i.e. analytical and objective mindset).
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams at multi levels within the organization.
  • Excellent Interpersonal, communication, coaching and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to create close working relationship with the Manufacturing Quality Group.
