Site Name: Field Worker - CHN Posted Date: Mar 24 2022 Job Purpose The Oncology Medical Manager (MM) is mainly an office-based position that is responsible for managing product life cycle starting at the pre-authorization phase across local registration, launch, as well as post-launch via the development and implementation of Medical plans & scientific activities to grant patients access to GSK brands and establish scientific leadership. This includes building deep understanding of our compounds and development of relationships with EEs. Partner with Commercial, Market Access, Value generation & Medical Access to develop and drive LoC strategies while, driving proper understanding of the scientific value of our products and their appropriate use to address patients needs through optimum use of available evidence and/or its generation, medical education, and access initiatives. Your Key Responsibilities This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following Key Responsibilities The MM should at least spend 30% of his/her time externally to collect insight and/or execute plans. MM should provide insights about clinical practice, competitor landscape, un-met needs & evidence gaps which will assist in the development and execution of TA Medical Affairs strategies and plans. They will also play a key role in the development of brand plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams. MM key responsibilities are: Manage brand life cycle (pre-authorization, Authorization, pre-launch, launch & post-launch) Develop brand medical affairs plans & ensure timely execution Map evidence gaps & collaborate in developing IEP & KEGs Support patients access to GSK brands Provide product and disease area information to internal and External customers. Review all promotional material & local labels for his/her brands in accordance LoC procedures Attend local/international congresses & ensure cascade of updates to all stakeholders Ensure strategic alignment across Medical, Commercial, Market Access & Regulatory Ensure full compliance with GSK Code, SOPs, local laws & regulations Provide medical trainings & present at promotional & non-promotional meetings Collect insights & Respond to Medial information queries Engage & represent medical with EE, payers, government & formularies Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Medical or Pharmacy degree. 3-4 years previous medical affairs experience in the Oncology TA with a successful track record. Preferred Qualifications: Medical Degree in Oncology is preferred. Postgraduate study (masters degree or Diploma) in the relevant TA and or Business degree is an advantage Essential Skills and Abilities: High level of medical expertise & knowledge in the therapeutic area. Experienced in clinical research (Phase I IV) & health technology assessment requirements (HTA) Strong communication skills, with high ability to effectively deliver messages & successfully establish relations with all internal and external stakeholders. Experience in the preparation & delivery of effective scientific presentations with good public speaking skills in front of the medical audience (speaking at scientific educational events, congresses;) Ability to analyse, represent and discuss scientific data in the therapeutic area with external and internal partners High level of discipline, ability to organize the activity and to reasonably use the working time within the established independence limits. Developed skills in business planning, business orientation and working under the dynamically changing conditions Fluent in professional English language. Arabic language is an advantage. Experience in the medical department within Pharmaceutical Industry or extensive comparable clinical experience in the relevant therapy area is a prerequisite. Why GSK?
