The Mechanical Technician at Savola Foods Company will be an integral member of the maintenance team at our food and retail production facilities. This junior-level position is responsible for maintaining the functionality and performance of all mechanical equipment, ensuring seamless production processes. The incumbent will directly contribute to the reliability of machinery such as pumps, valves, gearboxes, conveyors, and specialized sugar processing machines, adhering strictly to OEM standards. The technician will be hands-on in conducting daily inspections, executing preventive maintenance during scheduled shutdowns, and overseeing both minor and periodical repairs. The role demands a blend of technical acuity and practical problem-solving, ensuring all equipment is maintained in optimal condition. The technician will also be responsible for preparing and utilizing job tools, management of permit work related to maintenance, inspection of incoming spare parts, and ensuring adherence to safety and environmental protocols. Effective communication and reporting are critical components of this role, as is the capacity for creative thinking and troubleshooting during operation shifts.
