The Logistics Specialist is responsible for providing, monitoring and analyzing Logistics services in order to support the effective provision of high-quality Logistics services in terms of lead time and cost and assists the logistics Manager in all tasks.Provide, in coordination with the Logistics Manager, needed support and advice to internal customer?s within area of expertise to ensure attainment and maintenance set of logistics practices standards.Ensure efficient services to the business by setting work objectives and schedules for specific logistics operations and / or processes.Identify procedures and reports related to the assigned area of charge, suggesting improvements in order to support the ongoing development of logistics standards.Conduct feasibility studies on new supplier/forwarder?s/clearing agent in assigned areas to reduce the cost.Follow-up, internally with the local warehouse teams on internal shipments and externally with forwarder?s, clearing agents, insurance brokers and suppliers on all issues related to delay of external shipments.Ensure logistics policies and procedures are in adherence to identified legal KSA custom?s requirements/regulations.Compare cost of forward companies in local markets and recommend best deal in alignment with the group corporate strategies.Report non-compliance issues to the Logistics Manager ensuring timely resolution while maintaining high quality of service level.Establish and update regularly work priorities and stations and fulfill routine tasking by LM.Develop reports showing transportation costs on precise projects and moves.Conduct material control coordination and data entry assisting different supply activities.Review and analyze program effectiveness, suggest and execute on time improvements and corrective actions.Coordinates with unit managers and co-workers to assure outcomes are accurate and current.
