Job Description

The Local Content Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the Local Content Manager by executing and monitoring local content initiatives. This position involves coordinating supplier activities, ensuring compliance with local content policies, and preparing comprehensive reports and training materials.Key Responsibilitiesú Assist in the development and implementation of local content strategies and initiatives.ú Coordinate activities with local suppliers to ensure compliance with local content requirements.ú Track and maintain local content metrics and prepare reports for management review, including Local Content Scores and targets.ú Conduct market research and analysis to identify local supplier capabilities and trends.ú Support cross-departmental efforts to integrate local content considerations into procurement processes.ú Organize training and informational sessions for staff on local content best practices.ú Engage with local community stakeholders to promote local content initiatives.ú Assist in the development of documentation and communication materials related to local content.Knowledge and Skills Requirements1. Understanding of Local Content Policiesú Familiarity with regional and national local content policies, including regulations established by the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority (LCGPA).ú Awareness of current regulations and best practices governing local content requirements in procurement.2. Reporting Requirementsú Knowledge of specific reporting templates and documentation required for local content compliance.ú Ability to track and summarize local content metrics, including Local Content Scores and targets.ú Understanding of processes for preparing reports for internal stakeholders, including periodic performance reports, progress reports, and compliance audits.3.
