Job DescriptionDesign and Planning: Develop and design landscaping plans in collaboration with clients, architects, and other stakeholders. Incorporate elements such as plants, trees, walkways, water features, and lighting systems to enhance the overall design and functionality of outdoor spaces.Project Management: Oversee the entire lifecycle of landscaping projects, including budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and resource management. Coordinate and collaborate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.Team Management: Lead a team of landscapers, horticulturists, and supporting staff members. Assign tasks, provide guidance, and support, and monitor their performance to ensure high-quality workand adherence to project timelines.Site Preparation and Execution: Oversee site preparation and execute landscaping projects, including grading, excavation, planting, irrigation installation, and the implementation of hardscape elements. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications.Plant and Material Selection: Determine the appropriate plant species, trees, flowers, and other vegetation suitable for specific locations. Select and source materials such as stones, pavers, and other hardscape elements required for landscaping projects.Maintenance and Upkeep: Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure the long-term health and appearance of landscaped areas. Monitor and manage irrigation systems, pest control measures, debris removal, and general upkeep activities.Sustainability and Environmental Considerations: Incorporate sustainable landscaping practices, such as water conservation techniques, native plant selections, and environmentally friendly materials. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in sustainable landscaping practices.Client Communication: Work closely with clients to understand their goals, preferences, and budget constraints. Provide regular updates, address concerns, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.Previous experience in the Total Facilities Management (TFM) industry is required.Skills1) Technical Skills: Proficiency in landscape design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, etc.) and familiarity with project management tools. Strong knowledge of horticulture, planting techniques, irrigation systems, and landscape materials selection.2) Creativity and Design: Demonstrated ability to create visually appealing and functional landscape designs that align with client preferences and project objectives. A strong eye for aesthetics and attention to detail.3) Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills. Ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders, manage expectations, and provide clear instructions and feedback.4) Organization and Time Management: Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.5) Knowledge of Regulations: Understanding of local regulations, building codes, and environmental standards related to landscaping projects.6) Problem Solving: Ability to identify and resolve challenges or issues that may arise during the design and implementation phases of landscaping projects.
