Job Description

The Automation Engineer is responsible for performing functions to provide controls/automation technical support, management, and execution of large projects/assignments from initial concept to final closeout.A highly skilled professional engineer with experience (3-5 years) working as an Instrumentation and Control engineer/Automation engineer on various industrial projects, such as Water Treatment Plants (WTP), Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plants, Chlorination plants, Pipeline Network Projects, Desalination Plants, Pumping Stations, and Lifting Stations.Expert in creating, leading, and implementing solutions to address specific customers? requirements, and improve overall productivity, and efficiency.Ability to successfully lead and develop any project while maintaining strong, productive relationships with customers, partners, and other stakeholders at all levels.˙Key Responsibilities:

  • Attending regular meetings and preparing work schedules to be carried out to ensure targets are achieved following company policies, procedures, and instructions.˙
  • Engineering study, construction, and commissioning of projects.
  • Installation, Calibration, and troubleshooting of field instruments
  • Development of operational control philosophy and detailed engineering submittals.˙
  • PLC programming for different brands (Mainly SIEMENS, Schnieder Electric, and Rockwell Automation)
  • Development of SCADA system including graphics screens, alarms, trends, and report management for HMI & SCADA (Certified AVEVA is a plus)
  • Preparation of Datasheets and automation panels As-Built Wiring Drawings on AutoCAD.
  • Preparation of O&M Manuals/Cable Schedules for Field Instruments PLCs and SCADA Systems.˙
  • Preparation of Inspection Reports, Test Reports, and obtaining approvals.˙
  • FAT & SAT of Instrumentation and Control packages.˙
  • Arrangement of Training and workshops for the operating staff.˙
