Following GSK?s Ways of Working, putting patients? needs & timely access to GSK products at the heart. The Business Unit Manager would be responsible for driving & implementing strategic plans, executing operational & account plans whilst managing product supply and demand carefully, this can happen through leading commercial team and aligning support functions to strategic & operational plans. Business Unit Manager is responsible for people development for his directly reporting team and will assist the Specialty BU Head in overseeing the successful design and implementation of strategies & structure to best deliver BU performance. Business Unit Manager is responsible for alignment to above country teams ensuring optimum engagements & commitments to Above Country agreed plans, strategies & reviews, as well proper transparent escalations when required. Managing proper P&L decisions and immediate feedback on Risks & Ops that are in scope. It is crucial to ensure that all transactions are aligned with GSK Code, SOPs, local regulations, laws and agreed ways of working. Business Unit Manager needs to lead his/her team towards strict compliance and audit ready environment all the time. Key Responsibilities Manage current HIV business and launch the future brands (develop business cases, Co create launch plans with cross functional teams, hire and develop Specialty capabilities) Lead the LOC matrix launch team in the refinement and execution of the core brand strategy for HIV portfolio and driving successful launch outcomes and business objectives in the LOC. Input into the development/refinement of LOC specific brand positioning, messaging, and tactical plans Align and manage LOC specific launch planning and milestone monitoring processes with Global plans and strategies Conduct local launch readiness reviews to prioritize / resolve issues, identify critical path activities and dependencies, and allocate resources Maximize the commercial potential of HIV portfolio through the development and implementation of strategic marketing plans in collaboration with Regional/ Global Marketing and Medical Affairs Energetic member of a high performing team who is able to oversee the entire value chain within the field of the assigned therapy area and develop strategies to add value to the implementation plans for the Specialty Business Unit Develop collaborative relationships based on trust, openness, honesty, and transparency. Demonstrate authenticity, values, and integrity. Drive cross functional team alignment with strategic partners such as Medical, Regulatory, CTC and Customer Services (Sets marketing plans & executes them, as well co-build market access plans and lead execution) Ensure that all initiatives are aligned with GSK Ways of Working Manage Specialty Account Management and relevant Marketing Teams within the Business Unit to commit & deliver agreed Lead KPI?s. Compliance Responsibilities Build and maintain compliance knowledge and implement governance processes across the team to ensure that sales force operational activities take place in adherence to GSK?s prevailing codes, policies and procedures and legal requirements. Ensure that all medical governance responsibilities are efficiently managed. Ensure strong business partnerships with distributor within GSK compliance / legal framework Advocate for employee Health and Safety by creating a safe and healthy work environment. Ensure adherence to all quality procedures necessary in market to ensure that GSK/ViiV is supplying high quality product to patients. People Responsibilities Drive the team and act as a role model in living the company values of integrity, respect for people, transparency and putting the patient at the core of every decision in every interaction internally and externally. Teamwork & Development Maximize performance of the team through planned (field/office) coaching sessions aligned with Comex. Support the team in developing tailored development plans to fit their career aspiration. Attract & recommend for recruitment internal & external talents in collaboration with HR team. Train and accelerate development of new team members. Act as a role model for team members by setting high standards through personal behaviour and actions. Maintain a positive working environment. Sales Team Activities Be a role model for GSK in-field coaching KPI?s. Develop the team to meet GSK selling standards in line with Good Sell Outcome principles Prepare a consultative coaching plan with every team member and conduct follow up sessions. Ensure performance review discussions are in place and are followed up regularly. Evaluate team performance in relation to GSK?s Standard KPIs for efficiency and effectiveness. Design and implement the business plans aligned to medical & marketing strategies Therapeutic Environment & External Stakeholders To act as a GSK ambassador for the assigned therapeutic area via leading `relationship-building` with external environment (External Experts, Relevant Government Bodies, Healthcare Institutions and Societies) Build solutions for better patients? outcomes through appropriate partnerships and/or collaborations. Act as a disease/Therapy area expert to support GSK internal business intelligence via continuous sharing of legitimate feedbacks. Continuously leverage 360 knowledge on assigned therapy area to ensure agile decision making Continuously monitor GSK competitors to enrich GSK plans and to advise competitor related decisions via approved channels Act as a custodian of GSK reputation internally & externally. Qualifications/Experience: 5 years management experience in Pharmaceutical industry including 3 years brand marketing experience. Minimum of 1-year experience of people management. Saudi market experience is advantageous Background in Specialty Disease areas is advantageous Proven experience in Stakeholder Management at Regional/Global teams is advantageous Well-developed commercial acumen: Including sound business analytics, business case development and commercial modelling. Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and readiness to lead GSK Ways of Working as opposed to traditional business models. High commitment to ethical values-based management. Proven strategic capability to implement a team-based performance culture. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, highly efficient in a matrix organization.
