About this opportunity!We are looking for a Health & Safety Manager who has a leading, coordinating and supporting role regarding technical topics and solutions within a network implementation organization.What you will do

  • Have the overall responsibility for the implementation of company?s OHS requirement, including OHS Management System & requirements and to stay in sync with the relevant statutory rules and regulations
  • Be responsible for the OHS requirements effectively with adopting professional health, safety and environment policies.
  • Ensure that an OHS Safety Plan is prepared, approved by CPM and subsequently implemented whilst regularly reviewed and updated.
  • Provide mentorship and information as and when necessary to assist supervisory staff in becoming conversant with the legal and company and customer occupational health and safety requirements.
  • Follow-up incident occurrences and initiates or carries out investigations.
  • Supports and maintains ongoing safety instruction and coordinates training as necessary.
  • Advises management on the risk assessment and control of hazards in the workplace, which may adversely affect the health, and comfort of people at work.
  • Behavioral Competences
  • Persuading and Influencing, Writing and reporting, Analyzing, Planning and organizing, delivering results and meeting customer expectations, following instructions and procedures
You will bring
  • Education: National Diploma / working towards Diploma / NEBOSH / SAMTRAC or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years telecommunication experience and registered with SACPCMP
