Job Description

The Foreman position at a leading General Engineering Consultancy in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, is a pivotal role that requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in managing construction projects. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations on-site, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role demands strong leadership skills, effective communication, and a thorough understanding of engineering principles and construction methodologies. The Foreman will act as a bridge between management and the workforce, facilitating a collaborative environment that drives project success.Responsibilities:

  1. Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities on-site to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  2. Manage and lead a team of workers, providing guidance and support to enhance productivity and morale.
  3. Conduct regular inspections of work progress and quality, addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly.
  4. Ensure adherence to safety regulations and protocols, fostering a culture of safety among the workforce.
  5. Maintain accurate records of project progress, including daily reports, material usage, and labor hours.
  6. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop project schedules and timelines.
  7. Facilitate communication between subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
  8. Assist in the procurement of materials and equipment necessary for project completion.
  9. Provide training and mentorship to junior staff and new team members.
  10. Resolve conflicts and challenges that arise on-site, maintaining a positive work environment.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Proven experience as a Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.
  2. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
  3. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  4. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  5. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  6. Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to challenges.
  7. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  9. Familiarity with project management software and tools.
