Job Description

An electromechanical technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electromechanical systems and equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical and mechanical principles, as well as the ability to troubleshoot and diagnose issues. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role and possess excellent problem-solving skills. The electromechanical technician will work closely with engineers and other technicians to ensure that systems are functioning properly and efficiently.Responsibilities:

  1. Install, maintain, and repair electromechanical systems and equipment, including motors, generators, pumps, and HVAC systems.
  2. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning and prevent breakdowns.
  3. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with electromechanical systems, using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  4. Repair or replace faulty components or parts, such as motors, switches, and relays.
  5. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment and prevent accidents.
  6. Collaborate with engineers and other technicians to develop solutions for complex technical issues.
  7. Document all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and work performed.
  8. Stay up to date with advancements in electromechanical technology and attend training sessions as required.
  9. Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.
  10. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Preferred Candidate:
  1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  2. Diploma or certification in electromechanical engineering or a related field.
  3. Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles.
  4. Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  5. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  6. Ability to work well in a team environment.
  7. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  8. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  10. Flexible and adaptable to changing work requirements.
